This is a very common bird in Saint Lucia. You remember seeing them in the hotel restaurants don’t you? The male, pictured here, is black with red on his throat. The female is a bit smaller is plain brown in coloring. They are so friendly that they will build nests in your home. Each generation born around people gets friendlier and friendlier and become a real nuisance.
